Mentoría individualizada y de alto calibre: Sobre 150 mentores forman parte de la red de parallel18. Para cada generación de pre18, trabajamos currículos atemperados a las necesidades de las empresas del cohorte. Cada experto comparte su conocimiento en charlas y dedican su tiempo a darte “feedback” sobre tu solución.

Metodología de medición de progreso “KPI’s”: La estructura del programa nos ayuda a monitorear tu progreso y a entender qué necesidades surgen semana a semana para que logres la meta final.

Acceso a recursos claves del Fideicomiso para Ciencia, Tecnología e Investigación de Puerto Rico: Parallel18, entidad que cobija a pre18, es parte del Fideicomiso para Ciencia, Tecnología e Investigación de Puerto Rico. Esta organización sin fines de lucro tiene como meta promover el bienestar de los ciudadanos a través de programas que fomenten el conocimiento, la investigación y el empresarismo.
¿Quiénes cualifican?
Empresas que lleven 3 años o menos en operaciones.

Negocios que tengan la capacidad de crecer rápidamente y exportar hacia nuevos mercados.

Compañías lideradas por empresarios puertorriqueños o establecidas localmente.

Startups que hayan lanzado al mercado. De no estarlo, deben contar con un prototipo funcional (o producto mínimo viable) y un plan de lanzamiento con una fecha estipulada dentro de las primeras 6 semanas del currículo.

Al menos un fundador debe trabajar a tiempo completo con su startup.
Pre18 is a pre-acceleration program that offers grants, high-quality business training, and networking to innovative Puerto Rican companies in early stages of development with global potential. Pre18 is a parallel18 program built and run by Puerto Ricans, for Puerto Ricans.
What do we offer?

A $25,000 grant to strengthen your startup: While you participate in the curriculum, we provide you with equity-free funding so that your company continues to grow.

Individualized and high-caliber mentoring: Over 150 mentors are part of the parallel18 network. For each generation of pre18, we work on a curriculum tailored to the needs of the companies in the cohort. Each expert shares their knowledge in talks and dedicates their time to giving you feedback on your solution.

Progress measurement methodology “KPI’s”: The structure of the program helps us monitor your progress so that you, as a founder, can understand what needs arise week by week and achieve the final goal.

Access to key resources of the Puerto Rico Science, Technology, and Research Trust: Parallel18, the entity that houses pre18, is part of the Puerto Rico Science, Technology, and Research Trust. This nonprofit organization aims to promote the well-being of citizens through programs that foster knowledge, research, and entrepreneurship.
Who qualifies?
Companies that have been in operation for 3 years or less.

Businesses that have the capacity to grow and scale quickly and export to new markets.

Companies led by Puerto Rican entrepreneurs or established locally.

Startups that have launched to the market. If not launched, must have a functional prototype (or minimum viable product) and a launch plan with a stipulated date within the first 6 weeks of the curriculum.
At least one founder must work full-time in their startup.
