The spirit of the competition is to allow only ventures conceived and developed during the graduate school experience to participate. Although the
Heartland Challenge is a graduate student competition, exceptional undergraduate teams will be considered
Competition directors and faculty advisors are responsible for ensuring and attesting that their teams meet these requirements. The teams are also responsible for ensuring their own eligibility.
The 2025 competition launches on YouNoodle on December 16, 2024. Team applications, executive summary, and pitch video are due January 17 at 11:59pm (CT).
Twelve semifinalists will be selected. Semi finals, Finals, Elevator Pitch Competition, Startup Expo, Investor Roundtable, and Awards Dinner will be held April 3-5 in Bentonville, Arkansas.
