BioLeap is a Life Sciences innovation incubator program led by the Puerto Rico Science, Technology, and Research Trust (PRSTRT) and managed by parallel18 to increase economic development through innovation and entrepreneurship in the life sciences sector in key focus areas such as biotechnology, AI-driven medical technologies, genomics, and more.
BioLeap focuses on closing the gap between cutting-edge local scientific research and its commercialization, thus advancing the establishment of a local, inclusive innovation ecosystem.
What do we offer?
- 12 week curriculum covering the intricacies of conducting business
- Additional 14 weeks of technical assistance
- Connections to our acceleration (P18) and growth-stage (Xpand) program
Who qualifies?
- The project must have a novel and functional prototype, proof of concept (experimental), or platform technology in the Life Sciences field
- Individuals with demonstrated experience and capacity to successfully develop a product or service towards advanced phases
- Be either a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident who anticipates sustaining an ongoing research & development effort in Puerto Rico
