Selected initiative recipients are eligible to receive up to $100,000 USD in AWS Promotional Credits to support 12 months of AWS service usage related to their project.
Eligible organizations may apply to the AWS Education Equity Initiative anytime throughout the year to receive AWS Promotional Credits to advance their work. Although applications can be submitted at any time, these are reviewed on a quarterly schedule. This helps us continually improve our offering and mechanisms.

To submit your application, please select “Click Here to Apply” and follow the page instructions. Please review the AWS Education Equity Initiative website for an overview of the program and FAQS. Information submitted in your application will be handled in accordance with the AWS Privacy Notice.
What happens after I apply?
AWS will notify you via email of your application status after the submission deadline (e.g. if you submitted your application by June 30, 2025, you can expect to hear from us in July with your status). Any Promotional Credits awarded are governed by the AWS Promotional Credit Terms and Conditions.
Who is eligible to apply
To be eligible for the AWS Education Equity Initiative, your organization must fulfill one of the following:
- Developing a new digital learning solution that specifically serves populations that have faced challenges or inequities in education OR
- Scaling an existing learning solution (e.g. community, city, country or region) or enhancing an existing solution with new features that serve populations facing challenges or inequities in education
Any organization - including non-profits, for-profits, foundations, charities and governments - can apply.
What information is required for the application
Your organization must provide the following information in your application:
- Describe how your learning solution focuses on at least one future skill.
- Describe how your learning solution specifically addresses educational disparities and inequities that impact learners and communities around the world.
- Describe at least 3 succinctly described milestones, capturing the key stages and AWS technology used
- Submit a completed AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate the cost of building your organization's solution over a 12 month period. Follow the instructions in this user guide to create an estimate and share your results.
- Confirm that you have cloud building capability within your organization (i.e. you are able to use AWS services for the purposes of the outlined project).
- Answer 2 surveys regarding the reach and impact of your solution.
