- Advancing precision agriculture and smart farming practices through AI/ML and predictive analytics
- Increasing traceability and food safety with AI/ML, blockchain and IoT
- Optimizing distribution and reducing waste through AI/ML and predictive analytics
- Enhancing food access through cloud-based marketplaces and delivery platforms
- Developing cloud-enabled tools to combat food insecurity and malnutrition
Eligibility Criteria
AWS is offering AWS Promotional Credits to selected institutions and companies addressing gaps across our global food system, from production through to waste management. To be eligible, your organization must fulfill one of the following:
- Your organization already has a successful existing solution that can be scaled into new communities experiencing food insecurity OR
- Your organization is developing a new solution that specifically targets these communities
Your organization must fulfill all of the following:
- Describe how your solution addresses our global food insecurity system, addressing inefficiencies, inequities, and lack of data interoperability across the food value chain
- Describe at least 3 succinctly described milestones, capturing the key stages and AWS technology used
- Demonstrate cloud readiness by providing a list of AWS services and projected cost of those services that will be used for your solution and confirm that you have cloud building capability within your organization
- Confirm that you have cloud building capability within your organization.
- Answer 2 surveys regarding the general reach and impact of your solution.
AWS Promotional Credits
AWS is offering AWS Promotional Credits to selected institutions and companies addressing challenges or inequities across the global food value chain.
- Selected initiative recipients are eligible to receive AWS Promotional Credits to help cover the AWS service usage related to your project and will be eligible for up to $150,000 USD in AWS Promotional Credits.
- AWS Promotional Credits help customers reduce the cost to use AWS services.
- AWS Promotional Credits are only applied to Eligible Services as defined in the AWS Promotional Credit Terms and Conditions.
- Application requests must be justified with a completed AWS Pricing Calculator to estimate the cost of building your organization's solution over a 12 month period. Follow the instructions in this user guide to create an estimate and share your results.
