expand_contentWelcome to 2022 GW New Venture Competition!
The GW New Venture Competition (NVC) is the largest collegiate business plan competition in the country. In 2022, we are awarding over $500,000 in prizes, which include $125,000 cash to the winners.
The NVC provides every GW student, faculty, staff, and alumni with a real-world educational experience in developing, testing, and launching their own startups, businesses, and social ventures.
Find out what it's like to participate by watching the NVC Experience Video.
The competition is open to every GW student from all of the 10 schools. Students compete in one of three tracks: New Ventures, Technology Ventures, and Social Ventures.
Throughout the NVC we offer skill-building and experiential learning opportunities through workshops, mentoring, and networking opportunities. The NVC comprises four rounds and culminates at the NVC award show in April.
Any GW student interested in innovation, change making, and entrepreneurship who has an idea at any stage who’s looking to get feedback, recognition, funding, and in-kind support to develop and launch their ideas is encouraged to apply.
The GW New Venture Competition is administered by the GW Office of Innovation and Entrepreneurship.
